It is an honor for me to address our community of allies as Executive Director of Corporación La Fondita de Jesús. I exercise this assignment with great enthusiasm and commitment, aware of the importance of being able to work day by day for the well-being of homeless people and vulnerable communities and with the purpose of strengthening their confidence, skills and leadership, promoting their self-sufficiency to achieve social change. We will achieve this with the help and utmost dedication of an extraordinary work team, volunteers and participants.
We are well aware that our mission and vision constitute basic pillars in our society for the self-management and integration into the community, as well as, the empowerment of each person we serve. We have lived through difficult times of constant change. Even so, we have made progress in tending to each of the needs of our populations so that they are met. We fight and will continue to fight for the rights of the homeless and vulnerable communities we serve. It is our duty to continue educating our society as a whole to achieve its sensitivity to these sectors, since the social changes we are experiencing have taught us that, in the blink of an eye, we can become a homeless person ourselves.
I am firmly convinced that together, as the nuclear family that we are, we'll be able to continue our quest and change the lives of many. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said: “I do what you can't, and you do what I can't. Together we can do great things.”
I humbly invite you to explore our website and learn more about our organization. Corporación La Fondita de Jesús will be proud that you become part of our extended family. Welcome all!
